This Sunday I spoke at the Celebration Centre here in Penticton, and it begins a series of talks and workshops in the next few months. (See my schedule at www.normacowie.com). I can't explain the feeling I get when I speak to a group of people. Its like 'heaven' to me. This talk will be put on my website in a few days (Its in the mail to my webmaster). So you can listen through there, but I also have some copies available so I can mail you a CD of it too. I was speaking on the topic "Coming Home", and spoke about how I have several homes, but also was able to talk about our Souls and the journey we have plus the Akashic Records. Oh what fun to have it roll forth and then listen to it afterwards.
Next week I'm up in Salmon Arm speaking to the Quester's group on the topic "Following the Energy Line". I will be repeating the topic the following Monday for the Kelowna Questers. I happen to know although its the same topic, I'm sure it will not be exactly the same lecture. I speak to the people who are attending, therefore different information can be forthcoming. Such fun!!
I'm also facilitating two Past Life Regression Workshops in the next few weeks, one while I'm in Salmon Arm, and another in Trail.
On Saturday I went and did a Psychic Party for a party of eleven. This was the first one in which I taped onto a CD, rather than audio tape. It definitely takes longer as it is recordered onto my mp3 player and then transferred onto a CD. I wish the inventors would invent something where we could tape directly onto a CD with ease. It is something which seemed to have 'fallen through the cracks' of inventing. This coming weekend I'm at the only Trade Show I'm planning on doing this spring in Vernon and will use the CD process. Thinking about pricing right now. How to work the extra time in.
I also have had the privilege of working with both Readings and Clearings (using the Yuen Method) since coming back. I truly can see and feel the difference in my work since my three day reaudit course in Regina. Wow...its so much more enjoyable, following the energy in this different way. I am so happy with it, it suits my style and how I like to work so much more.
At the moment, even though we have had more snow I'm happy to be back home and working.

Home with new computer!
Hi there: well the 10 days in Vancouver finally ended. Talk about busy. Mary, so sorry I did not have more time to talk with you when you dropped by unexpectedly to the talk on the Thursday night. It had been a long day, driving in from Penticton, setting up my booth at the Womens Show, with the help of Bridget thank goodness, arriving at my friend Sonia's place - setting up there - and then driving to Burnaby to speak, and there you were. I had to go see Rob, my computer guy afterwards, so driving there in the rain was no fun, but it was done and home in bed before midnight as the show began the next day. Anyway, would have loved to spend more time chatting, but it was good to see you & Linda!!!
So highlights of the trip: the Women's Show I was super busy on the Friday, and slowish on Saturday & Sunday. Spent money, purchasing this and that - as always its like being in the ShowMart building at the PNE. I was happy to tear down on Sunday night and head back to Sonia's. My thought was "I don't want to have to do this anymore". At least not take everything, tables, chairs products and me.
Monday I had a wonderful day visiting with my friends Anne, Alice and we had lunch with Sylvain (used to be Olivia). She has a lovely apartment in White Rock with a water view. Afterwards a trip to WalMart and then dropping Alice back at her place, Anne and I went to the Rob's the computer man (first of many trips for me over the next few days). Then we went to the movie RED for me it was the 2nd time, but its a great movie and I love it. Talk about laugh, back to Rob's and then dropped Anne home and then me back to Sonias.
Tuesday, visiting again, lunch with Rita (always a delight) tea with Janet in Tsawwassen, then to the Natural Comfort where I had a massage with Beverley, supper with her and Pat and then a evening of channeling with 13 people. Lots of interesting information coming through for each person from their individual guide.
Wednesday, clients came to Sonia's place to see me. One did not show up and I was quite glad on one hand, but sad on another because so many people had been turned away due to lack of time available for appointments. Glad because I was quite tired and new I had a workshop to do that evening. Managed a quick visit in with Sylvie and Sonia's daughter Cia before leaving for the workshop. Past Life Regression workshop I thought went quite well, and most, as usual, got some visual information.
Thursday, drove into Vancouver, visited with Bridget quickly, then went and did three readings and then off to pick up my granddaughters from school, visited them for a while. Had supper with them and Melanie, and then McKayla was off and then Rob arrived home in time to say Hi/Bye when we was off taking Kiera to soccer and Melanie off to pick McKayla and me off to Rob the computer man where I picked up my new laptop plus monitor. I was glad to be able to watch tv before heading to bed. I'm glad I don't have little kids, the schedules my son and his wife keep.
Friday, got away around 8.45, picked up Anne who decided to come back with me for a week's break and drove home.
Home....well if you ever have gotten a new computer you will know what it is like. I still have some programs to put in but after nearly a week I have it operational and can do most of what I want. a couple of Rob on the line has helped. But love my new monitor - its big and makes it easy for me to see. (My facebook page has recorded that part).
I took the weekend to recuperate from the busy, busy, busy trip - long days etc. Sunday Anne and I drove to Osyoos for lunch, Tuesday we went to Kelowna, as I had chiropractor and massage appointments.
Oh yes, on my way home from the workshop, last Wednesday I ran into a car. So did a slight bit of damage on my car which needs to get fixed before I leave for Calgary in two weeks. So I just remembered as I came to today, Wednesday, when I'm back to clients (one cancelling - boohoo) and walking with Jeannie (coming up in half an hour) which I enjoy and have missed. So later today I will be taking the car in.
All in all, its good to be back home in my own bed, and back to my sort of regular schedule.
Trust your last few weeks have been pleasant and enjoyable too.

Home with a different car!
Finally, back in my own bed! What an interesting journey the last couple of days have been. As my last post (not the movie reviews) said, my car was in the garage waiting for a transmission. Well, Tuesday I got the news that another part was needed, which was not made anymore and that the part from a second hand place in Surrey would take at least two days to get there. This put everything into a different light, as I needed to get home by Thursday at the latest.
Then Richard, the garage man said something which made sense to me "why are you paying all this money to repair a car which needs even more work, when you could buy another?" Why indeed. Well I hang onto things I love, I loved that car, I did not think I could get a car which would be good enough for the dollars I have saved, etc, etc, etc. Richard told me he had a 1994 Infinity in good shape, driven by a Doctors wife which I could have.
I phoned my tow truck Angel - Chris and asked him what he knew about the car. After all, who else did I know in Calgary. Deanne was out and about and I was unsure. Chris said he would go over and check it out for me. It just happened to be his day off (can you imagine that). Anyway he phoned back, said he made an appointment for 5.20pm to go look at it.
Deanne was home by then, so off we went through traffic and made it there for 5.40. We had to wait even longer, but eventually, Richard drove the Black Infinity from the back and Deanne, him and I went for a test drive. It drove just fine, and the price he told me I could have it for was what the repair job was going to cost. I said fine, I would be back in the morning (he said 10.00am) to settle it all up.
Wednesday arrived, and Deanne drove me there, and we could see very quickly that nothing was going to proceed fast. What a busy business. They have an Import Repair Shop. His wife, Natalie works the front, while Richard runs the repairs with 4 or 5 other mechanics. Busy, busy, busy. I thought I was busy, watching Natalie handle, phones, people walking in, mechanics coming in with this and that, and Richard on the phone, stating this and that, and trying all the time to get everything ready for me. I was impressed, especially when she told me she had a four and a two year old at home.
She said she would love to stay home with the kids but she knew no one else could handle all of 'this' easily. She would be right, plus as she said its my business too. Deanne after waiting for 1/2 hour said "I'll go and do what I need to do". I agreed and off she went, and I did not get to see her again, as by the time I got back to her place to pick up my bags and have something to eat before hitting the road home, she had gone to help someone else - delivering them to the airport. She is a wonderful woman - another Angel.
Anyway, finally we (Richard and me) got to go to where my car was, get my stuff, tables, chairs etc which was in the trunk, transferred into the new car (and thankfully the trunk handled everything well). Then back to his place to complete the paper work. He had put in a new battery, new wipers (thank goodness as the last hour of my trip home was done in pouring rain) and given it an oil change.
Off I went. After my visit to Deanne's I was off, in rain - home. It was 2pm B.C. time. I took it fairly easy (the speed limit) for the majority of the way. I stopped at Golden for a brief moment to get some water and bathroom break and again at Sicamous for a bathroom break, and then in Westbank for gas. Other than that it was drive, drive. The car went really well, but the highlight was seeing A BLACK BEAR, slowly walking across the road. It came out just before the car in front of me, who saw it and then me, and then a car behind me. We all pulled over and watched, unfortunately, I could not get my camera out quick enough to take a shot. I would say, as there were no babies it was a male bear looked fully grown, but still quite young. Maybe 2 years old.
After I gassed up in Westbank it began to rain, and it rained, poured down, so without high beams it was hard to see. So instead of driving 90 to 100ks I was driving around 65. But I made it, around 10.45 I pulled into my yard, so glad to see my home waiting for me, all nicely cleaned inside from Christobelle & Mike who had been staying there before I went away.
Home sweet home. Now Jenny (she named herself on the way home) sits in the frontyard waiting to go for an inspection, so I can transfer her papers from Alberta to B.C.
And life goes on.....went walking.....having a cleansing day, which I missed on Tuesday, and making appointments. Life is good.

Catching Up
Being away 10 days doesn't sound like a long time, but to me it is. Coming home to 150 emails which needed sorting, answering and doing whatever. Clients wanting appointment (now that is great) and getting ready to plant daffodils (even though it is late) are all on the agenda. But the happiest of all is today my new washer and dryer gets delivered. My old dryer was toast and took forever to dry anything, and now the cool/cold weather is here with some rainy days a new dryer was in order, and of course the washer was no great shakes either. Hence a brand new set is arriving in around 1 hour.
I had a wonderful 10 days away. Exhibited at the West Coast Women's Show at the Tradex Building in Abbotsford. It is a big show, with lots of people, mostly women which translates some want readings. Therefore I was busy - at least busy enough - and that always makes me smile. I also bought a few items, notably two new outfits which are presently being 'made' for me. I hope to have them when I got the the Fraser Valley Health & Wellness Show in Chilliwack Nov 20/22nd. Changing my look. While I was at the Show, I was hosted by some great people in Abbotsford and I was even able to watch a bit of soccer on the Sunday morning before going off to be busy all afternoon.
The Monday after the Show I drove to Vancouver and picked up my daughter Bridget and we went to Vancouver Island (heh I got on the ferry free cause I'm over 65 now - what a bonus) where we visited a friend who I have not seen for years. Bridget stayed one night and then caught the float plane from Nanaimo back home. I stayed on. Lovely visit, as I rested, knitted and we had mexican food for lunch two days in a row. (One of the things I miss here is good mexican food - our one major (two fast foods) mexican resturant is not very good).
Then it was Thursday and time to leave and get on the ferry (me free, car not) to Tsawwassen, where I stayed with another friend who was wonderful. I throughly enjoyed my time with her, plus she gives the best massages and I had one on Friday morning before going off to see a movie. I was also able to visit my son and family for three different short visits. First for my eldest granddaughter's birthday - Friday, she turned nine, then watching them - Saturday - dressed in their Halloween getups (that's always fun) and then Sunday watching my youngest granddaughter who is five running around the soccer field. Afterwards I took them all out for brunch and then they went off for the eldest to play her game, while I had to leave to pick up friend Anne to bring back here, while on the way stopping and doing eight (yes eight) half hour soul-drawing readings -- what an assortment of souls. Anne and I arrived home here in Penticton at 12.30 am. I was happy to be home. My heart always comes so full when I get near this town I live in.
Since being home, Anne and I went and visited my friend Christobelle and her husband Mike for lunch. A visit I always enjoy. We have rested and worked outside - I raked the leaves, Anne worked in the garden. My back is now sore - thank goodness Chiropractor this afternoon - Anne's neck is sore. Also friend Ted came and took out the old washer and dryer for us, then brought some paint, so Anne and I painted some of the bathroom walls. It looks nice. This is something I have been wanting to do, but hadn't and now it is done. My new washer and dryer will have a nice clean freshly painted home in the bathroom.
This afternoon we are off to Kelowna .... chiropractor and a channeling evening for great people. Tomorrow is another day - clients and a movie. Saturday back to Kelowna Anne flys home, I do a psychic party. Life continues.
The main thing for me is to get back in the habit of writing here once again.
The sun is peeking through the high clouds even though Anne reports it is cold and the wind is colder so no more garden work until at least noon.

Home Again!!
Just a quick note .... Home after a week in Alberta. I'm always so happy to pull into my parking spot and look at my delightful area in which I live and wonder, why do I go away. But go away I do to work mostly. I had decided to travel to Alberta (first Edmonton, then Calgary)but a circituous route which took me 2 days of around seven hours driving each day, sometimes going very fast (thank goodness I was not caught). My eyes feasted on the Rocky Mountains though and loved it. In Edmonton I had a busy, and profitable day doing personal readings, finishing in the evening with a Psychic Party for 13 people. Next day, up and off to Calgary (shopping a bit first). On the way to Calgary an interesting thing happened, we had to detour, and when arriving in Calgary I was telling Cecelia how far we had to drive in this detour. I believe a petrol truck had overturned on Hwy 2 (from Edmonton to Calgary). Anyway, that was nothing, on the way home from Calgary yesterday, just before Lake Louise (on Hwy 1 coming west)we were stopped and a very nice gentleman got to tell us (car by car) that there had been a rock slide and to go where I wanted to (Golden - which would then let me over Rogers Pass to Revelstoke and then home to Penticton) that I had to go to Radium Hot Springs and then go up the valley to Golden. Well this is a detour of over 100 kms. So I think it probably added a good 1 1/2 hours onto my trip - considering I probably had about 100 kms to go the regular way. I got to think / contemplate about detours and look at the many I have done in my life. Luckily I was given a long story on tape which kept me amused all the way home (including the detour) so my contemplations were short. But think about how often we do detour off our chosen path, or forget our life missions etc.
For those of you who read this and get my meta-zine will know I am working on growing my fingernails. After a life of biting, I figure its the next thing to tackle. I realize I usually bite them when driving and thinking. So put gloves on my hands for those first two days. After that I did not seem to need them. Perhaps when we go to break a habit, and we have done the work which fuels the habit, then we just need to make sure that we are unable to do it. I was surprising how often that first day I put my hands up to my mouth, less the second, the third I was busy, the fourth - driving to Calgary - did not seem a big issue, nor coming home. Now I will keep myself aware and if I find I'm putting them in my mouth for whatever reason if possible I will put my gloves back on till my hands know for sure .... the answer is NO FINGERS IN MOUTH. Mind you I have found I need to have tooh picks handy.
Ah life, anyway, this was going to be short to say how happy I am being home. Away again on Friday for a small Expo only 3 - 4 hours away. Life is good!

Perhaps when we go to break a habit, and we have done the work which fuels the habit, then we just need to make sure that we are unable to do it. I was surprising how often that first day I put my hands up to my mouth, less the second, the third I was busy, the fourth - driving to Calgary - did not seem a big issue, nor coming home. Now I will keep myself aware and if I find I'm putting them in my mouth for whatever reason if possible I will put my gloves back on till my hands know for sure .... the answer is NO FINGERS IN MOUTH. Mind you I have found I need to have tooh picks handy.
Ah life, anyway, this was going to be short to say how happy I am being home. Away again on Friday for a small Expo only 3 - 4 hours away. Life is good!
