2010 begins a new decade. The most significant thing for me though is that it is a number three year. Three the number of creativity, the number of expansion, prosperity and travel. What a year we are looking forward too.
The more I contemplate this coming year, the more I see expansion happening on all levels of life. People will become more open to alternatives, especially creative solutions. They will want to expand, rather than contract. I believe it will be a fun year for most people.
Of course, some people will be dealing with other aspects and it may not work well for them, but most of us to have a universal three year to support your personal year is one of the best in a nine year cycle (according to me) that you can have.
Your own personal cycle year can be worked out by adding the month and day of your birth plus three for this year.
If you are in a number one year, its all about change, opening up to new opportunities (hopefully you will take them - as last year was about letting go).
Number two, is about balancing relationships, life in general plus communication on all levels, most importantly is the balance aspect. The number three universal year will want you to proceed forward, but two is about balance so you may feel a bit of conflict in the energy here.
Number three, which means you work with the yearly universal energy means creativity, expansion and abundance, plus I find you usually travel more in a three year than any other. So this year will definitely be one of 'going places' for you, whether career or general its up up and away.
Number four, always the work number you will be have it easier because of the three universal year, but still you will create a new foundation or basis for yourself this year. Just be prepared to 'work'.
Number five, is a scattering energy year anyway, and with a three universal year, you need to truly watch your energy levels. learn how to say no when you have too, as you will have lots offered to you and you will need to choose what is the most important. Therefore, priorities will be the order of the day.
Number six is about responsibility to family, friends and self. Look after yourself, again with the three behind it, you will need to ensure you look after your own health, your energy and take your responsibilities with ease - not stress.
Number seven is where you will always tend to withdraw and either begin a new course of learning or coming to understand - you may read more books, but its spiritual retreat time. with the number three universal year, this will be harder to do, as the three will want you out and about having fun. Therefore, look after you and give yourself enough time to enjoy you.
Number eight about rewards, strength and enjoying. Sometimes I call and eight year a feast or famine, as it seems to be an either or year. think of the infinity sign 8 and see how it needs to be balanced. Its about how do you handle whatever you create, hopefully each one of you will have the feast. The three year should bring that in easily.
Number nine, the end of a nine year cycle, its about letting go, and although your may feel cloudy, unsure and frustrated as plans may not work quite in the timing you want, remember to be patient, keep your vision clear of what you want and again be patient.
Again remember three is fun. So therefore have fun and again most of all have fun. Enjoy it all! whatever it is.
Enjoy!!!!

The end of Decade
I find it hard to realize, as I sit here, that within 1 1/2 hours it will be a New Year and the beginning of a new decade. As I look back over the last ten years I cannot believe (hardly) what I went through, the losses, grandchild, career, monies, relationships and realizing the new beginnings, career reigniting, moving to Penticton being the biggest highlights having a new granddaugher and step greatgrandson also up there. Turning 60 five years ago and having some of my family come to celebrate was wonderful. One of the early signs my life was turning around.
As a person who practices living in the now I don't find it easy to remember all the things which happened, highlights of one kind or another, but I did have a period of 2 1/2 years where nothing went right at all. But from that I reemerged in a whole different way and I'm much happier now than I have been for years.
My work, especially my soul/source connection sessions bring me tremendous satisfaction, my intensive students as I watch them come into their own power and begin creating what they truly want. My weekly meditation drop in group brings great satisfaction and balance into my life. Life is good. And when I do get to see my family my heart gets warmed.
Tonight, as I get ready for the New Year, I look back at the last few days, flying to Vancouver on Christmas Day to spend time with my family, I realize how relaxed and at ease I am after those five days. I was so tired, and now I'm feel I'm ready to face the new year. Thanks family, you restored me.
Tomorrow, Day 1 of the New Year I'm attending a workshop - what a wonderful way to begin a new year. Learning about me - what could one want.
Yes, the last decade will be gone in 1 hour 15min, and I remember ten years ago, hosting a major meditation evening in White Rock to welcome the new millenium. There had been oppostition, at the last minute, because one of the board members of the Catholic Church Hall in which it was held found out I read Tarot Cards. Horror of horror, and this was a meditation evening, nothing to do with the Tarot. Luckily a priest intervened and we were allowed to go ahead.....over 100 people had paid $10.00 each (which was donated to the Womens Centre and Food Bank). What stress though. I remember how my back was so sore and rigid, but we got through and it was great.
What a difference ten years make. Tonight I celebrated with friends at a pot luck supper and we were all contented. Snow falling, which made sure I did not stay too long......but it was super pleasant. No stress at all.
Happy New Decade.....

Avatar - the movie
With my last planned event over for this year (besides flying to Vancouver for five days to spend Christmas with my family) I only have had to see clients, rest and rest some more. The rest is much needed, as I was quite tired. Then I went to see Avatar.
Unfortunately our movie theatre only shows it what I call regular, but heard is 2D...whatever, I was spellbound. What visuals, and I must admit I kept thinking "what must this look like in 3D?". The images were so vivid and clear that they stayed with me throughout the night.
I also liked the story line of the indigenous peoples fighting and winning the military might, but most of all I liked the concept of the forest being of one mind. Oh did I ever like that.
If you are reading this and have not seen Avatar yet, put it into your calendar. Unless you cannot stand to watch 'war' stuff, cause there is some of that, then give yourself a visual journey like no other.
Tall blue people with tails in a land of large strange horses, birds, rhinos and foliage, with color and depth results in wonderful visuals.
The only criticism I heard about this movie was the dialogue. Yet I found the dialogue appropriate for the movie. Too much dialogue would have taken away from this movie. Especially as many of the people in it did not speak English, or if they did it was limited. And we already know when the Military Officers are speaking they are issuing orders and orders are not long run on sentences. I think the critics only said that (about the dialogue) was because they did not know what else to criticize.
Oh it was so good, I will have to go see it again, and again and again.
I give this 5 out of 5.
Now I'm waiting for George Clooney's movie "Up in the Air".
Have Fun.

How 'big' is your Aura!
Recently a friend phoned asked me to take a look at her six year old grandson, as he was having trouble in school. When I looked what I noticed was his aura was very large and he was picking up everyone's energy and not knowing how to process it was acting out. My friend said she would teach him (in a fun way) how to bring it in plus also teaching him to know what is his feelings and what are others.
I often have clients and students who come who do not like being in crowds, and that is often a signal their aura is too big, plus the chakras are not working effectively. By being able to bring in their auras to a comfortable 18" - 3' and have chakras cleaned and aligned they are able to go anywhere they want.
When your aura is large, whoever is in the range of it, you will pick up their emotions/feelings. You could be in a grocery store and a person walk behind you (meaning you never even see them) and if they are upset, angry or sad, your aura will pick up and give you the feeling. This is often what happens when people have a 'quick mood change' and they don't know why.
People can create large auras for various reasons, but often it is because when they are a child their home environment is not the safest (for whatever reason) and they reach out with their auras to gage the mood of the room. They get into the habit of reading the mood or safety of the situation through their aura. They will not be aware of what they are doing, but have created a habit, thus growing their auras to be way too large. As they then proceed to grow up they begin not like being around too many people, often becoming housebound or not wanting to meet new people.
Once a person has learned how to bring in their aura, had their chakras cleared and aligned so they are all working together effectively, the person can once more walk in the general population fine. Plus if they do pick up a feeling, they can determine if it is theirs or not.
How do you determine how big your aura is can be done a couple of ways. If you suspect you have a large aura, find a friend who is willing to help you. Go out outside in the yard or on the street, make a large distance between you. You face away from the person, and have them walk towards you slowly (and quietly) until you 'feel them'. When you feel them say Stop!. Then look around and see how far away from you they are. Then imagine a 360o circle around and you will see why when you are in a crowd you will not like it.
A second way, is using wire coat hangers. Have the person walking towards you (you can face them for this) hold the long end loosely in their hands with the hook extended outfront. (They hold them just tight enough that they are not flopping around). They walk slowly towards you and then when the coat hanger comes into contact with your energy field they will automatically close. Its fun, try it.
Now that you have determined the extension of your aura, it is time to begin to bring it in. The way I have found the easiest is to image a vacuum cleaner beneath your feet, and suck it down into the vacuum cleaner. This is something you will need to practice for as soon as you take your concentration away from sucking it in, it will go back to where it usually is. Plus you may feel vunerable and uncertain. Therefore, the best way is to do it in stages, teaching the aura to remain closer, and closer. Eventually, it will be in a comfortable place for you to go anywhere easily.
Once you have the aura coming in you will begin to find more 'emotional' power. You will also need to 'clean' it. You can do this in the shower, by curving your fingers slightly and gently raking your aura, allowing the water as a symbol and your fingers to clean it. You will be surprised how 'dirty' the aura is in the beginning when you first begin, but soon the aura gets the awareness that it is to let go, and that it is not a dirt collector.
Have fun, check your own auras, your friends, your family auras and find out who really does have a large on, and who does not.
Remember, the aura has an important job, it transmits information into your system, so the chakras do also need to be cleaned and aligned in an effective way.
Enjoy!

Movie Review - Blind Side
Last Sunday night, while I was in Chilliwack after completing the Fraser Valley Health & Wellness Show, three of us first went for British Fish & Chips (very good) and then walked around in WalMart before sitting down to see the movie Blind Side with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw.
I found it a wonderful touching movie. In fact, if my local theatre here holds it over for another week, I will go see it again. Sandra plays the real life mom extremely well. You can see the humanity coming through as this family takes in a very large black teenager and make him part of the family. If it wasn't a true story, you would think its a Hallmark movie of the week (I enjoy those happy ending films) - except it is true - and it is wonderful and really makes you think if yourself would be as willing to open your home and space to a total stranger, especially one from a totally different cultural background.
Anyway, its good, especially I think if you are a woman (as I am). As also a sport person, although not necessarily football, I enjoyed the 'lessons' on football and the football scenes, which were not that many, but conveyed the message of what this young man needed to learn in order to become the professional football player he is today.
The winner of the show though, is the person who plays the young brother. What a character, I can only imagine what the actual son has grown up to be. In fact I would like to find that out. The young actor who plays him stole mine and the other two people with me hearts. He was the comic relief through his genuineness and his negotiating skills with the college recruiters was hilarious.
Yes, Blind Side, is definitely one to put on your 'must see' list.
Have fun!

War No More - A poem
August 13, 2000 I visited the traveling war memorial for Vietnam. I was so touched that when I returned to my car I wrote the following poem. Today, remembrance/memorial day I post this to commemorate my thoughts and feelings of war.
The Wall
Today I went and visited the moving wall
where the names of the Vietnam Vets are displayed.
As I walked along past the names of people
I never knew, tears fell down my face.
So many young, vibrant men, with a few
I'm sure who where old.
What a waste, I thought, what a waste.
I pondered as I slowly walked along
looking at the mementos left on the ground
with the tears still streaming down.
War - what for - so many over the
centuries dying, young and vibrant
for causes long forgotten or never
truly resolved.
Is there not another way.
The Wall, a signal to all, of the numbers it
takes from us all.
I also thought as I walked down past the names
with my tears falling down from my eyes
of the statistics -
this is only the ones that fell
in the land called Vietnam
But what it is reported two or three times more
have died since
from wounds that never healed
from their own inner torment
and lack of acceptance
I could not help notice as I walked
by the wall with my tears streaming
down my face how many men
were struggling too --
as they searched for the name they were looking for -
as they tentatively reach out and touched it -
bowed head - a breath -
I could not help notice that many were like me
realising the magnitude of the loss in this war so far away
I could not help think is there not a better way
A different way to resolve these differences that
arise rather than send our youth to be slaughtered
and we left bereft of them
I believe there is another way and I for one
right now declare I will do my best to see its done
I will live to my fullest potential
because they can't.
I will ensure My World is left better than when I came.
I came, I saw the moving wall - 1/2 the actual size of the real one
and I say - No More!!!!
As the tears fell down my face as I walked along.
PS. A few years later I did visit the Wall in Washington D.C. but I did not have the emotional response that I had that day in a hayfield walking along the 'travelling wall' hearing the names being read out one by one.

Movie Reviews
Hi: its Sunday night and I have just come from from seeing George Clooney's new movie "Men who Stare at Goats". As I am often asked for my opinion on movies I have seen and in the last couple of weeks I have seen quite a few I thought I would take this opportunity to share what I have seen and what I thought of them.
I will begin with my visit to Vancouver where I managed to see three movies while I was in the 'big town'. First one was "Whip It". This is Drew Barrymore's directorial debut with Canadian's own Ellen Page. I enjoyed this movie. It was humanistic, fun, plus taught me a lot about roller Derby's, of which I knew nothing. Anyway, how a young girl follows her dream and overcomes her mother and stero-typing. The best part, I thought, is when she stands up to a boyfriend who does not meet her expectations. This is a good role model for young girls even if it is only a short short scene.
The next movie I saw was "The Vampire Apprentice". I got to see this mainly because it was on my list and the timing was right. I only had a few hours to see a movie inbetween being here and going there. I believe it is from a book, but the way it was filmed it could have been from a comic. The most frustrating part was it did not feel complete, its like where is the next installment. It (the movie) is apparently made of up the first of three books of ??. Anyway I'm wondering if they are going to do the others, or is it like the Golden Compass and somehow drops out of sight. Back to the movie itself. Bright colors versus dark - after all its about strange people and vampires. (Aren't you getting a bit tired of all the vampire stuff coming out - I am). Anyway, the story line is interesting and definitely has a good versus evil theme. Would I recommend it and say you have to see it - no. But it does have some entertainment value.
Next movie was "The Couples Retreat". I'm sure you have heard of this one as there have been lots of advertising for it. I had resisted seeing it here in Penticton, but my friend Beverly and I decided that we wanted to see that one (not too much else to choose from that weekend). Well, it was worth it. Much to my surprise I laughed and laughed. I'm not a big Vince Vaughn fan, but this movie was definitely worth a visit. It was right on about couples and what they can encounter and although some of it was a bit 'out there', the scenery (filmed in Bora Bora) was worth it alone. Beautiful colors in the water and land. Worth catching if you have not seen it yet.
Back home and Friday night went to see "This is It" with Michael Jackson. If you are a Michael Jackson fan or not, but love the rock beat music and his old hits, then this is a must. I'm thinking I may have to see it again. Loved it. The music plus seeing Michael, showing the producer side of him is worth seeing. I can only be in awe if this is how he sings in rehearsal, how wonderful the real show would have been. Highly recommend it to people who love the rock sound.
Then today (afternoon show) I went to see "Men who Stare at Goats". I must say I'm glad I saw it, for someone who has been reading books on distant viewing and of course is psychic loved the inside jokes, and how the psyche was displayed. I had many laughs (always good for the soul). Is there a lot of depth or value to the movie, I really can't say yes, but for entertainment and fun with some real truths this fits the bill. Definitely a movie to consider if you are in the 'psychic' realm. I do think it is good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. What I loved the most though is how they referred themselves as "the Jedi" and when George Clooney tells Ewen McGregor that he is a Jedi I totally cracked up. Several times I laughed because of McGregor's role in the Star Wars movies. Anyway, a nice way to put in two hours this afternoon. I still feel warm and chuckly inside.
This is my review of my latest adventures in the movies. Now I'm back in Penticton with only four movie theatres - poor me - and no afternoon shows except on the weekends when I'm usually busy, I will let you know what I think next time around......there are a few coming up I want to catch.
Blessings
Norma.

Blessings
Norma.

Catching Up
Being away 10 days doesn't sound like a long time, but to me it is. Coming home to 150 emails which needed sorting, answering and doing whatever. Clients wanting appointment (now that is great) and getting ready to plant daffodils (even though it is late) are all on the agenda. But the happiest of all is today my new washer and dryer gets delivered. My old dryer was toast and took forever to dry anything, and now the cool/cold weather is here with some rainy days a new dryer was in order, and of course the washer was no great shakes either. Hence a brand new set is arriving in around 1 hour.
I had a wonderful 10 days away. Exhibited at the West Coast Women's Show at the Tradex Building in Abbotsford. It is a big show, with lots of people, mostly women which translates some want readings. Therefore I was busy - at least busy enough - and that always makes me smile. I also bought a few items, notably two new outfits which are presently being 'made' for me. I hope to have them when I got the the Fraser Valley Health & Wellness Show in Chilliwack Nov 20/22nd. Changing my look. While I was at the Show, I was hosted by some great people in Abbotsford and I was even able to watch a bit of soccer on the Sunday morning before going off to be busy all afternoon.
The Monday after the Show I drove to Vancouver and picked up my daughter Bridget and we went to Vancouver Island (heh I got on the ferry free cause I'm over 65 now - what a bonus) where we visited a friend who I have not seen for years. Bridget stayed one night and then caught the float plane from Nanaimo back home. I stayed on. Lovely visit, as I rested, knitted and we had mexican food for lunch two days in a row. (One of the things I miss here is good mexican food - our one major (two fast foods) mexican resturant is not very good).
Then it was Thursday and time to leave and get on the ferry (me free, car not) to Tsawwassen, where I stayed with another friend who was wonderful. I throughly enjoyed my time with her, plus she gives the best massages and I had one on Friday morning before going off to see a movie. I was also able to visit my son and family for three different short visits. First for my eldest granddaughter's birthday - Friday, she turned nine, then watching them - Saturday - dressed in their Halloween getups (that's always fun) and then Sunday watching my youngest granddaughter who is five running around the soccer field. Afterwards I took them all out for brunch and then they went off for the eldest to play her game, while I had to leave to pick up friend Anne to bring back here, while on the way stopping and doing eight (yes eight) half hour soul-drawing readings -- what an assortment of souls. Anne and I arrived home here in Penticton at 12.30 am. I was happy to be home. My heart always comes so full when I get near this town I live in.
Since being home, Anne and I went and visited my friend Christobelle and her husband Mike for lunch. A visit I always enjoy. We have rested and worked outside - I raked the leaves, Anne worked in the garden. My back is now sore - thank goodness Chiropractor this afternoon - Anne's neck is sore. Also friend Ted came and took out the old washer and dryer for us, then brought some paint, so Anne and I painted some of the bathroom walls. It looks nice. This is something I have been wanting to do, but hadn't and now it is done. My new washer and dryer will have a nice clean freshly painted home in the bathroom.
This afternoon we are off to Kelowna .... chiropractor and a channeling evening for great people. Tomorrow is another day - clients and a movie. Saturday back to Kelowna Anne flys home, I do a psychic party. Life continues.
The main thing for me is to get back in the habit of writing here once again.
The sun is peeking through the high clouds even though Anne reports it is cold and the wind is colder so no more garden work until at least noon.
Blessings to all!
Norma.

Winter has arrived
Hi: Friday night I held a Channeling evening here and we all noticed as people left it was a little cold. Well that night it dropped to seven below .... its not even mid October and its seven below. Then when I went out on Saturday morning onto my front porch it was covered totally with - not leaves - but small branches. The cold had frozen the small branches on one of my trees and they had just fallen off.
It happened Saturday night too, which dropped to minus eight, more small branches all over my front porch. Three bags of branches later, they are still falling, but its more like leaves, as it has warmed up (its now Wednesday - and so it should). But it is interesting how when you are not expecting something - like super cold - how you respond. I immediately turned the heat up and put on warmer clothes, but I truly was not ready for it all - the cold that is. I don't have my garden 'fallised' (don't think that's a word, but oh well) I have green tomatoes frozen on plants, I don't have my summer chairs put away. Heh this is my busy time and and its not supposed to get as cold as this until at least November.
Luckily my daughter is arriving next week and she will help me get the 'back' sorted out, thank goodness for young relatives who can do the things which take me forever. I'm still patting myself on the back for raking up three bags full of branches (not counting having to lie on the chesterfield for a while after each bag so my back muscles could relax). As I look out of my window as a write this, leaves (not branches) are falling down and obviously a wind is coming up, and the sky looks black and ominous. A storm coming in probably, and its meditation night tonight. We will see who shows up.
Back to how we handle changes. As the whole planet seems to be going through energy changes (I was speaking about this with my chiropractor today) how the 'old school' gets in a rut and does not want to consider 'new and different'. Well I like to think I'm flexible, but after my car being in the garage for nearly a week, and it being super cold I just thank my friends who came and gave me lifts around, and today, as I had to drive to Kelowna (1 hour away) to get to see my chiropractor I had to rent a car....I'm not sure I'm as flexible as I like to think I am. When I phoned the garage who are fixing up my car to the tune of a lot of dollars and asked about a loaner they said "Sorry, the last one went out". Did no one think to phone me to see if I wanted it -- no. I think my inner 'bitch' is raising itself to the surface.....in a nice way of course. But I will have something to say about customer service. Its 4.30pm and no one has phoned yet to say my car is going to be there for another day (they are waiting for a part). Luckily the company has a deal with the rental company (I asked about that) so my rate is not so high, but I'm not impressed about the service......flexibility tested again.
Anyway, I'm working on revising my notes for the second intensive weekend which occurs this weekend ..... just about finished. Its interesting how quickly days pass, mind you I was able to watch Nadal play tennis for 1/2 hour (it only comes in on my main TV through the digital box - which my other two tv's don't have). But 1/2 hour rest watching Nadal is worth more than one hour reading.
Enough rambling for today. At least I'm back blogging!!!! Yeah!!!! No internet radio now, which is where I would normally be. Speaking to the world. Instead I'm here writing. Feels good to be back.
Lots of love to whoever reads this, trust its warmer where you are .... they (the weather people, who are never right) promise it will be warmer next week -- just as I'm leaving of course. Yes, you can see I'm very flexible and believing etc. etc. etc.

What happened to August?
Today is Thanksgiving here in Canada, my first weekend which is not jammed packed since the middle of September. Several days ago I was sitting down contemplating how come I had not worked with my blog for a long time when I realized I could not think what I had done in August. August seemed to have disappeared into the mists of time.
Still contemplating I remembered July vividly. Painting the fence, birthday barbeque, birthday trip away with three friends to Ainsworth Hot Springs, my daughter and her husband staying for two nights and then having my son, his family, my ex and his girlfriend here for the last week - but what had happened to August?
Then slowly I began to remember. First came the memory of going to Vancouver to see my daughter's new property on Keates Island. Had a wonderful relaxing weekend reading Wilbur Smith's new book Assegai - it was the only weekend they had rain. Then as I contemplated further I remembered the US Tennis Open. That's two weeks of tennis....I did watch quite a bit....some great tennis games. Plus I had a visit from a friend for an overnight, Mary from the Island had dropped by while in the vicinity. Ah yes, August had gone by fast, and then of course September came, with the first week disappearing into the mist along with August.
I do remember realizing September 7th (the holiday monday) that I better get busy as I was due in Calgary for the Body Soul & Spirit Expo on the 17th. Plus I had a couple of Intro evenings for my intensive. All of a sudden I was back in gear. Now September has sped by. First the Body Soul & Spirit Expo in Calgary, thank goodness I flew from Kelowna there and back, which meant I was not over tired from driving the eight hours it takes. Then the next weekend I taught my Tarot Reading Course (10 people) of which six are going on into the Plug Into Your Power Program (one weekend a month for six months). Once that was over, it was getting ready to go to Salmo B.C. for the P.A.T.H. Expo, where I was very busy. I was glad to drive home and have a couple of days rest and begin to get caught up, rest, plus getting ready for the next three weeks, teaching the second weekend of the intensive, then off to Abbotsford for the Fraser Valley Women's Show (as an exhibitor). After that I'm staying in Vancouver, visiting family, having some appointments with clients and hopefully seeing some movies.
Then guess what - it will be November. Ah August may have slipped by, but these last months I definitely remember.
The other week I completed my internet radio program on www.theshiftradio.com, but you can always listen via the archives. It was great to do, but now time to go back to the blog, working on updating my Power course and perhaps begin another book.
Not sure what it is like where you are, but a cold snap took us all by surprise and we have been having record cold nights, minus 7, 8 and 9. Beautiful days, but colder than expected. Out have come the winter clothes.
Until next time -- remember to enjoy!

Oh ye of little Faith
The cooler days of early Fall have arrived and once more I feel I can sit in my office and type up my experiences in my blog. For those of you who email or phone as I have not written anything for awhile, the hot days of summer, visitors and busyness has kept me from reporting. But I do have a few thoughts which over the next few days I will write about.
During this summer I have been working on Saturdays in a local market. From 8.30am to 1.30pm I sit under my 10 x 10 covering (with many other tradespeople) selling my books, CD's and DVD's and doing readings. One of the themes I have found repeatedly in the readings is one where people are locked into fear and anxiety.
Often I have heard myself say, "where is your faith? where is your belief?". I am beyond being surprised when I ask "What do you believe in?" and I'm told "Well I believe in Jesus" or something similar.
At first I had a hard time assimilating what I was hearing, but upon reflection I realize the unfortunate aspect of Christianity is it is a faith based on fear. Fear of the Devil, fear of being wrong, fear of not being accepted, fear of condemnation. Then when a situation in life occurs which needs some belief and comfort regarding an outcome, they don't have it.
I have found this sad. And although I endeavor in the short time I have with people to encourage them to begin once more discovering their belief in life and knowing they can 'handle' whatever it is. I'm often frustrated because I know it will take more than the short time with me.
One day, I had a lovely older woman (not too much older than myself) telling me how she had lost her husband and then three years ago her son, and how she did not feel life meant much to her anymore. "Oh" I say, "you have lost your faith". "Yes," she replied, "that is what has happened". She decided to sit down and have a reading with me, and said she felt a lot better when she got up to leave. I trust so! I'm hoping to see her in an Expo I'm going to early October.
Faith, I truly believe faith is something we learn by working with it in little bits at a time, until we know within, that no matter what - all will work out. That generally life brings good things to us and my number one saying is "its not the event that is important, its how you handle it".
Faith, something we all need, because we all encounter situations which stretch us, not only in our belief in life, but in ourselves and humanity.
Faith, the knowing the universal love energy (who whatever you want to call it) is there for us, if we surrender and allow it to unfold for our highest and best.
I have two more weeks at the market. I look forward to seeing what that brings.
Summer Blessings

Psychic Warrior
I just completed reading Psychic Warrior by David Morehouse. I was fascinated and did not want to put it down. Although his story about becoming a remote viewer and working for the U.S. government shows he has a phenomenal ability, the explanations he writes about with his encounter with his Angel, the different dimensions and the endless struggle between light and dark I thought were very thought provoking and just wanted to keep reading until I had finished it.
I enjoyed it so much that I have ordered a CD set of remote viewing. I'm trusting that it will hone the ability I utilize with my soul/source connection work. I wanted to get a birthday present, so this is it. (Better than a new dryer).
I will keep you apprised as to how it goes. Yahooo a new project to work with. I was kind of lose ends, after completing the last book "Many Lives, Many Ways of Remembering Them". Plus I'm feeling the best I have felt in years, so was ready to get my teeth into some learning. And then this comes along. The universe does have its moments.
Have a great, exciting day.

Where do we come from?
One aspect of my work is doing "Soul/Source Connections" in which I do psychic emotional surgery, clearing decisions and blocks created since the beginning of the soul when they first spring into physical form here on earth to experience the many and various lives.
As explained in my website http://www.normacowie.com/ on the Soul/Source Connection sessions I felt like my life had lead me on a path which brought this technique together. But that is not what I'm talking about here. What I want to put forth is something I keep running into. At first I did not put too much stock in it, thinking it was rare, but have discovered it is not rare, in fact it is quite common.
We as soul's have come from somewhere. In the book "Initiation" by Elizabeth Haich, which I read many years ago was when I first experienced the idea of people coming from another planet to inhabit earth, where these beings mingled with the original inhabitants. (I highly recommend this book if you have not read it).
Since then I have read, heard about, or experienced different scenarios, which explains how individual souls progress through space and time.
In 2006, when doing a Soul/Source Connection, I ran across my first 'contract' which related to a person being sent here to experience earth. This was my first encounter with beings saying I could not change the contract (this was when I was exploring what the contract was about and wanted to change it). Now I would handle this differently, but then I came to an arrangement that the contract would be changed somewhat.
Since then I ran into this over and over. First it would appear as a contract which showed up as a block for what the person was desiring in their life. I would ask to see the contract and as time when by I became proficient in negotiating (who thought I would become a space lawyer) a releasing of the said contract.
Then I began to discover that some souls were sent here as a punishment. Needless to say I had some difficulty when first encountering this, but after I experienced it many times, I began to realize more souls than we know or suspect have been sent here as punishment. The only thing I can relate it to is when Britain sent their criminals to Australia and U.S. (People forget they were also sent to U.S but they were). I believe they are sent here because of this being an emotional planet and is dense and the soul has to work through the emotionality.
It is as though the original sentence was given, say 1,000 years, only to be forgotten, never re cindered. These contracts are easy to transform and erase. They are old and there time is up. It is the contracts where the soul has been sent here to check out earth (spy - no just report). These contracts I have not always been able to erase. But usually, I discovered what has happened, is over time, the soul (person I'm unblocking so they can create what they want) has not kept up their end of the contract, i.e. sending back information. Sometimes this means I need to create a way in which they can in this life send this information back, then it appears everything falls into place.
So where do these souls (including ours) come from. Seems to me from many different parts of the cosmos. Some from planets, some from dimensions. I have learned when I'm looking at how the soul feels about coming to this planet if there is anxiety (which I sometimes find) rather than the usual excitement about their new adventure, I go further back to see what the anxiety is about and transform that.
I have had experience with where do we originally come from through my Past Life Regression work, and many different dimensions and planets have been experienced by clients who wanted to see for themselves where they hailed from.
Mostly though, it has been through my Soul/Source Connection work that I have learned the most about 'space' and the souls coming here to experience life on earth.
Have a great day!

Being All You Can Be!
Since last Wednesday night during meditation I have been receiving messages about being 'more'. To allow my 'essence' to expand and become all I can be. I had to step back and think about this a bit, because I feel grounded, excited about life (again) and generally enjoying my life. (Its amazing what getting rid of a diseased part of you can do to your energy - isn't that symbolic). Anyway, my meditation last week was having my essence become strong enough that nothing could restrict me. Then a couple of other thoughts and signs through the following days, followed by the channeling session last night.
The whole session (without giving details) was about strengthing the essence of the person the guide was talking too. If you are not aware, I facilitate channeling sessions where your guide speaks to you. I had a group of six people last night, and I felt at the time (the specific information which came through for each one has mostly receeded) that the messages all had an important overview. I have discovered over the years of doing this that whenever a group comes together a theme emerges. Well the theme was definately be all that you can be. Allow your 'essence' your beingness shine, develop to its full potential.
As I'm working with a study group (which meets here within a hour) on the book Think and Grow Rich the confidence exercise in there, basically says 'think about how you want to be for 30 minutes every day'. Imagine if we all did that. I know I'm going to set aside some time to do that. To imagine myself in my fullness of my being for 30 minutes. I can see how quickly the obstacles to that will emerge so I can transform them into the 'light' so I can become all that I can be. Ah life ... the journey .... just when you think you are a place of relaxing and enjoying the slower pace of life, another twist and turn and there you are looking at 30 minutes of being all that you can be. (My words for how you want to be).
I'm feeling stronger inside already. So lets see where this takes me.
Lots of love to you all this day (oh yes the session last night spoke alot about love (of self going out into the world and of healing the planet).
Enjoy being all that you can be.
I'm off to eat breakfast so I can lead the group.
Norma.

Ain't friends wonderful
Today I was reminded how wonderful friends are. Especially living here without family, I have to rely on friends for different things I cannot do. This morning I put a call out to a friend who has done quite a bit of work around here for me. Sure enough he rolled up in his truck and did several odd jobs which needed doing, plus got my swamp cooler working. Now in this hot valley I need my swamp cooler. Once the temperature goes over 30oC it is very hot. I'm lucky in that I have trees which protect my mobile home in the morning and again in the evening, but that afternoon sun can be a little to hot. (Although I hate to say that - it does become a bit much especially in the high 30's and into 40's which we can get regularly once we are into July and August.)
Anyway, my friend Ted, a most wonderful Crystal Energy Healer, came and did several hours work for me. Now my 'consulting room' has a wonderful lace curtain over the window, a green one covering the small closet and a new little three tierd bookcase (only 3' x 1') but it will hold my CD's and DVD's nicer than the bag they were in. My consulting/reading room, now is much more serviceable for clients. So thank you Ted ..... I feel like my consulting room is finally coming together. It got put on hold with me being ill from the gall bladder and then after the surgery. Now I'm back on track.
Plus he is going to get me a gallon of paint, loan me the painting utensils, so I can begin to paint my fence which badly needs it and I want to do it (at least this is the vision) a little bit at a time. Oh yes, he's picking up my lawn mower which is getting revamped and will no doubt bring that tomorrow .... friends can't live without them.
Now other friends in the last few days have taken me to lunch, phoned to see how I'm doing, given me a knitting pattern to copy which I wanted and generally made my life much easier.
So the thought today is THANK YOU ALL FRIENDS for without you my life would be a lot less.
Blessings on this beautiful day.

Summer has arrived in the Okanagan Valley
Hi: yesterday was the first day when the breeze, or slight wind, blew it was warm. That told me our summer has arrived. My car showed it was 33 degrees Centigrade. Thats quite warm, especially when just a few weeks ago it was still cold. Its like we did not have spring, we went from winter to summer. Spring was here, because my cherry tree was in full bloom and the daffodils and tulips and then irises came out, but they were late, and my roses are beginning to bud.
But for me its now shorts and tops .... I like being brown, and need to lay a base down (fair skinned English descent that I am) so when I'm out and about I don't burn.
What else is new. Not much....still find I get tired, and then I rest, then feel better and over do it, so guess the next few weeks will be like that. But I did manage to do a huge pile of ironing today. That's good, mind you I had several rests and watched the French Open Tennis and the FA Soccer Cup Final in London, England this am as well. Soccer is now over till August. Rugby is finishing too, but Tennis is happening and soon the Tour de France, which I usually watch. So the sports world of Norma Cowie continues.
Now that I'm feeling better, I'm getting my schedule ready for the summer. If you read this and want to know what it is email me and I will send you a copy of my schedule. Although its centered around home here, there are some interesting stuff - ie birthday gathering in July.
Lots of blessings with love this hot, summer day.

Star Trek even better 2nd time around
Hi: on Thursday night, even though I was tired, I went with a friend and saw Star Trek again. It was even better second time around. I caught little things, I had missed before. Wow is it a good movie. I have said to people even if they are not Trekkies .... go and see it - it is good. Anyway, it has now moved away from our local theatres and so will have to wait for the DVD to arrive before I get to see it again.
Mind you when Star Wars first came out -- gosh how many years ago was that, I went and saw it seven times. No, I don't have an addictive personality at all. If want a good movie, and haven't seen it yet, go see Star Trek. I'm sure you will enjoy it - especially if you like adventure or sci fi movies.
Blessings to you on this day.

Another prayer success
Hi: you may remember when I prayed for my dishwasher to work and it did. Well since March I have not been able to find my camera. I thought it was in one place, but it wasn't. Through all the pain and travel in the following months I could not set about actually looking for it, but kept my eye out. Still no camera. Now I'm feeling better and I'm catching up with myself, getting things back in order and I was thinking, "I wonder where that camera is?" Then I remembered that a friend of mine had said that St. Anthony was in charge of lost objects. Not being a catholic I don't know all my saints, but I did remember this one. (Mind you one of my favorites was St. Christopher the saint of travel, and now he's now longer a saint - but who cares, I still like him).
Anyway, I proceeded to pray to St. Anthony for the return of my camera. Would you believe a few minutes later I walked into my office, looked down (for some reason) at the space between my computer desk and a small file draw, and there on the floor, between the two by the back wall was my camera.
Thanks to St. Anthony, my camera is now sitting on my desk right before me. Cudos go to him, and especially to remember prayer does work.
Anyway, camera is back in hand, so more photos to come .... one day I will totally figure out not only how to download but how to email effectively.
You all have a good day and remember to pray for what you want. If you are not sure how, email me, and I will create one for you to say. I just love prayer work.
Lots of love this wonderful summer day, (my laundry is all out on the line getting wonderfully sun dried - just love the summers here).

movie update
Last night I went and watched the last movie of the big four which were released the last few weeks. Terminator: Salvation, which I enjoyed, but do not need to go see it again. I thought the introduction of the human terminator who had a heart was a great idea and some of the stunts were pretty terrific.
My favorite of them all though is Star Trek - which I'm going to see again on Thursday. I give this one 4 stars. It moves quickly and although I have one friend who said shes not interested in seeing it because shes not a Trekkie, I don't think you need to be to enjoy this movie. Its done wonderfuly well.
Next I would place: Xmen: Wolverine 3 1/2 stars. This is well done, keeps moving well, and although I got a bit lost as who died and who lived at the end, I enjoyed it.
Then would come Terminator: Salvation 3 stars. As above, thought it was well done. Mind you I have always been a Christian Bale fan (especially since Batman Begins). He is definately a 'method' actor who truly gets into his part, whatever it is.
Finally rounding out the four is Angels and Demons only 2 1/2 stars. Something was missing in this movie. I could not quite put my finger on it. I had read the book several years ago so did not remember the whole story, but perhaps it was that the woman lead and Tom Hanks did not seem to have chemistry or what. But even though it was well done, as I've said something was missing.
Now, not sure when I will get back to the movies (except for Thursday night when I will once more sit through the dynamic Star Trek) it has been one way of recuperating and giving myself a treat (I do believe in treats). As the TV schedule is terrible now .... I am back to sitting outside with a book enjoying the sun.
Enjoy your time at the movies.

Supper with a 91 year old
I live in a mobile park and in this park there lives a 91 year old whose name is Pete. Pete is a character and proudly will tell you he walks at least 5 miles a day in order to keep healthy. (He used to walk 20 miles, but thats too much now). Over the two years I have lived here I see him often walking the circuit around our park. In fact, I myself often walk the circuit. Over time Pete and I began to have conversations, often about metaphysics and we exchange books and everynow and again he brings me a gift of something or other.
Pete, having lived for 91 years is full of knowledge, especially about the body and can recite facts and figures, which never in a month of Sundays would I remmber. But no matter what he is always interesting.
The other day he mentioned to me he wanted to have some Chinese Food and he had been to one restsurant, took one bite and left, so I said how would you like me to take you for supper on Sunday. I'll pick you up at 5pm. My final word was with him, "its a date Pete, I'll pick you up at 5pm Sunday". He had told me he wanted to go to a smorgasboard, otherwise forget it. Oh yes, he's a direct talker.
So at 5pm I pulled up outside his trailer and there he was sitting, reading a book. I asked him "are you ready". He replies "yes, you said Sunday, but not which Sunday, so figured it would be this one". I had decided which resturant to take him too, and thank goodness he enjoyed it. This particular resturant has a large selection of food, including seafood. Both Pete and I ate our fill, with Pete chatting up the waitress the whole time. When we (or should say Pete) totally finished eating, I drove us park to our park and left him as I drove the short further way to my place.
He said he enjoyed it. For me I enjoyed his company. This man is so knowledgeable, and although sometimes I'm not quite sure if he is joking or serious, I always enjoy our talks. He has a great relationship with the universe. Raised Catholic, has no time for churches or organized religion, but when he talks about his way of speaking to the great spirit, and to his body he understands the conscious, subconscious and superconscious like nobody I have ever met. He is indeed a living example of speaking with the body and the universal energy (some would call it prayer).
I look forward to another day when I once again will take Pete out for Chinese Food. In the meantime, I watch him walk by as he takes his daily walk and sometimes when I'm walking and hes walking (interestingly we both walk in different directions) we meet along the circuit and talk.
Hope you get to take someone interesting to supper and enjoy their company.
