Olympic Torch

Just watched the Olympic Torch go by. I may be sentimental but I love the Olympics, being a jock at heart. And there was something about seeing the flame come down the road, being passed to another person and they taking off. It reminds me of life. How we have a life, which is following another, and after this one there will be another and another. Or, we could see it as the genetics being passed on from one generation to another. A continuam of life.
No matter the symbolism, in a few more weeks the Olympics will be beginning here in Vancouver and they need snow. The weather there has been mild .... where I am we had a smattering of snow last night... several of us, as we get closer to the event, are going to get together and 'call up' snow for the mountains, at least, for the Olympics.
No matter what the weather I will be watching as much of it as I can.
Right now, I'm catching as much as I can of the Australia Tennis Grand Slam in Melbourne. Because we are so far ahead of them (in real time - they are actually a day ahead of us, so we are behind) but in 'real time' the late afternoon and late evening is when the games are on, luckily repeated here early in the morning.
I will have a few weeks when my soccer watching will be the only thing which will drag me out of bed to go watch - especially as my team Liverpool has begun to win again. Thank goodness. So a busy time of sport watching. The Olympic Flame though, has reminded me of the continuous meaning of life.
Take a moment and think of your life as just one in a parade of many, where do you think this one will fall - what category - great, so so, horrid or just plain another life. I know for sure this one has been interesting for me, lots of personal learning and coming to understand more about the nature of life and spiritual progression and it feels like I have consolidate ideas that I have been working on for many lifetimes. Whatever, right now its where I am and its looking pretty good from this side. I do wonder though what I will create next time. (Its true I think about it)....after all its my realities.
So while you contemplat the meaning of life, the olympic flame, have a great day, the sun has actually come out - shining on the Olympic Flame no doubt.

New learning, new ideas, new products

What a New Year....here it is only the 20th and I cannot believe what seems to be happening. On New Years Day I went to a four hour introductory workshop of the Yuen Method. Since then I have been working with it. It goes so well with my soul/source work. It has shortened the time I spend, plus I believe takes me into aspects which I was not 'hitting' before. So I've been working with friends, clients and you name it to check out how it works and if it holds etc. I know I certainly have experienced the benefits for myself.
I know this is a five personal year for me, but already I seem to watch what is going on and I don't get spread out too thin.
I'm off in February to Calgary to take Level one of the Yuen Method to add to my knowledge base.
Then last night I was out to a most delightful Italian Dinner with three friends and one of them had just returned from Vancouver with a new product - a zero point energy wand - so she wanded our food, drink etc. While the other three went on about how wonderful the wine was (the non drinker/driver me did not partake of the wine) but what I noticed was this: first the water was smooth as silk to drink and second the most important of all, my vegetables tasted wonderful and I wanted more. Now that may not mean much to you, but I'm just not a vegetable eater and here I was wanting more. So I'm going to hold an informative evening/afternoon here very soon. Apparently there is a lemon test .... I want to experience that for sure. My friend said when wanded the lemons tasted more like grapefruit. I'm sure you will here more about this product. Oh yes, the company (networking of course) has a rejuvenation cream.....ah all three of us (2 of us 65) thought that was wonderful. I'm really waiting for that product to be available in Canada. Coming soon I hope.
In the meantime, I'm visiting the sunbed three times a week to lay a base for my trip to New Zealand which is getting closer by the week. The sun is quite hot there, so I'm getting myself slightly brown so I don't buirn. Plus I'm using lots of cream on my face, but this zero point energy cream simply has to work on the falling face.
Back to the Yuen method for a moment, as that really has my fancy. I'm presently offering 15 min complimentary sessions (can upgrade to 1/2 hour for $45.00) which means I can transform, release, neutralize, correct (whatever you want to call it) one thing in the 15 minutes or 3 in 30min for you. Let me know if you are interested. Good until Feb 15th. (Then I'm away in Calgary learning more and then NZ for 3 weeks). Next week is filling up with people wanting to see how it works. So far results and comments have been good.
I have made a few sales of my new meditation CD.....so far the feed back has been good. Makes me feel nice to hear that.
Well thats the news, I'm seeing clients, teaching my intensive (the students did great!!! at their psychic practicum reading Tarot Cards, drawing auras, crystal ball, stones and buttons. I'm very proud of them. Plus they are all transforming before my eyes. Plus Wednesday meditation continues (on tonight), Thursday night is now Choir here practising for our Sunday Celebration Service. I find that a lot of fun. This Saturday I do my first of two psychic parties, next Friday I also have a channeling night then the second psychic party on Saturday. Life is good!!!!
Oh yes, this Sunday afternoon six of us (all friends) are traveling north to hear Lee Carroll, who channels Kryon for the afternoon . So life is busy with fun as well as work.
Enjoy your day!

George Clooney's Up In The Air - movie review

Saturday was a real long movie day. Myself and two other ladies drove 1 1/2 hours to go see Avatar in 3D....it was just as good the third time as the first and so glad I've finally seen it in 3D. Then we came home, joined in with our 'movie group' went to supper (8 of us) and then George Clooney (10 of us). Oh yes, one of the husbands is brave enough to come with us 'gaggle' of women.
Up in the Air, nominated for six golden globes. Naturally I had to see it if it was in our local four screen theatre and I wasn't disappointed. To me it was a social comment movie, with a lot of laughs. Jason Reitman who co-wrote it, co-produced it with his Dad Ivan, and directed it, most certainly took what is happening, particularly in the U.S. and put it right out there for us to see. Interestingly we laughed. Deep down though, we all know it is not funny to live a life without personal connection, and then when you do find it, you find it cannot lead to anything deeper.
Plus the way our society is becoming addicted to computer screens which although it did not show you being hired it certainly showed how you can get fired. Imagine getting fired from a job from a person miles away through a computer screen. Is that truly the way of the future, hiring and firing through a computer - online...plus having no personal connections or sensitivity at all. I think Jason has done an admirable job for us to take a breath and look at our society and what we are becoming.
Through it all, I laughed often....and after a busy day of driving, seeing Avatar in 3D (wow) I was happy to sit and enjoy! 3 1/2 stars out of 5.
Also....finally a person who did not enjoy Avatar. My daughter and her husband. Lots of criticisms, especially the war bit. I said "did you not read my blog - I said there if you did not like war movies do not see this movie". Obviously she did not read my blog.....again warning, if you do not like war scenes do not see Avatar. I you can endure them, love visuals and the idea of the earth goddess in action - go see it, if you haven't already.
Blessings to you all!
Heh I'm on Skype so you can talk to me through the computer and see me (if I ever figure out how to be heard and seen at the same time - thats another story - another post on another day.
Blessings to you all!

Overcoming post Christmas Blues

Do you ever suffer the after Christmas blues and feel like January goes on for ever. In the past I have many times, and one of the things I discovered was it was taking down the Christmas decorations. I always felt my house felt naked without the lights, trees and decorations. So this year I'm doing something different, and I feel it is working.
I'm taking down and putting away something every day so its not all at once and it is not a total shock to the system. I have found this way I have not had the usual feeling of being 'let down' as I progress into January.
Therefore, just a suggestion if you have not already made your home 'naked' you do this. I have definitely found it helpful.
Blessings
Norma.

Sherlock Holmes - movie review

Just got in from seeing Sherlock Holmes. I did not know if I had really wanted to see this movie, but there was nothing else to go see and a friend and I wanted to go see a movie - so off we went to the late afternoon show.
I'm so glad I went. I laughed, I was intrigued, I was entertained. Yes, the best way of stating it was I was entertained. Again, I liked the editing. Boy am I ever an editor fan. Never remember the names of them, but I sure do watch for their skill.
Criticisms are....there were times Downey spoke so fast I could not catch the words. I know that is the character, but really, we do need to understand what he said. Second one, was although, as a Canadian and I truly love her beautiful looks, I thought Rachael McAdams was a bit (perhaps a lot) to young for the part she played. Here you have Holmes middle aged, ragged around the edges, although great perception, and here is this young, beautiful, flawless faced woman who is supposed be have been 'around'. No, that did not wash or take with me. Loved her though as herself.
Therefore I would recommend if you want to be entertained, then go see Sherlock Holmes, you can recognize Guy Ritchie's style, and I think he did it well. I have not mentioned Jude Law yet, he was a wonderful Watson.....plus the chemistry between Downey and Jude - great!!!!
It looks like there could be sequels and I will be there.
All in all 31/2 out of 5.
Enjoy

Movie review - Nine

While in Vancouver I went with my daughter to see Nine. We had wanted to see Avatar, but it was sold out, and she had wanted to see Nine so we did.
Nine is an art piece. The lighting and the editing truly got to me....I often find the editing of a movie goes unnoticed, but as a movie goer, I watch for it, as a great editor makes the difference. I have no idea who edited this movie, but he 'should' be nominated for an Oscar.
Anyway - the movie - the dance scenes, phenomenal, especially if you like large sets and dancing, which I do. Daniel Day-Lewis, as usual, is phenomenal as the main man (in fact pretty well the only man) surrounded by these beautiful wonderful woman actors. Both Fergie and Kate Hudson's dance numbers I could watch over and over (especially Fergie's.). Unfortunately, perhaps because she was not available for the press junket, she has not received too much notice, but she was great. In fact they were all great. Each one from Sophia Loren to Nicole Kidman played the part they needed too.
If you want to see a movie with great acting, wonderful dancing, and phenomenal lighting and editing this is it. I give it 3 stars (perhaps 3 1/2 can't quite make up my mind.)
Mind you I'm still committed to Avatar.
Now I'm waiting for the snow to go so I can go to Kelowna to see Avatar in 3D.
I see Sherlock Holmes is playing locally -- so perhaps that will be seen late tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Goals for 2010

Have you set your goals yet for 2010. Usually New Years Day is the day I set aside to do this. Years ago I was in a workshop presented by Marc Victor Hansen (before the Chicken Soup Days) and he mentioned creating 101 goals. One reason was the subconscious was large and needed lots to do.....well when I first began to write my 101 goals I found it difficult, and then I realized it was because I was not specific enough. I also did not stretch myself enough, I did not think big enough. I became used to thinking more specific, bigger and imaginative. Therefore the challenge is 101 goals for 2010.
Another important fact I came to see as I reviewed my goals was the ones which came into being, sometimes through unexpected circumstances, was the ones I had decided to have happen.
This often meant to did something, which set the energy ball rolling, to begin it. Once I realized that I went through my 101 goals and sorted out the 10 main goals and committed myself to them. Of course the unexpected happened, and sometimes goals I did not concentrate on came into being and even more often other opportunities which were not on my list came in.
Still all in all, the ones I decided and were committed too were the ones which definitely showed up in my life.
Therefore, do the same, go over your list, decide what you truly want and are truly committed too and do what needs to be done. As I say in my book Secrets for Living Happily, take the first step. Ah, the First Step Principle, one I work with every day in my life.
Onward into 2010....today or tomorrow my list will be made (that's because I'm off to an afternoon workshop within 3 hours and I'm busy catching up on my blog and emails).
Enjoy
